‘How to effectively benefit from the support of business environment’? - the leading topic of the Boomerang Meetings Project, which will be held on 06.12.2012 at 17.00-18.00 and will be broadcast from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Faculty of Technology and Maritime Transport to research centers throughout the country, Al. Piast 41, room 113.
Boomerang Project is an initiative of the government members of the ‘Top 500 Innovators: Science-Management-Commercialization’, who took part in two-month trainings and internships at the best universities worldwide (Stanford University and University of California at Berkeley). Inspired by the American model of business contacts with scientists, throughout the country they organize meetings with entrepreneurs who share their experience with customers in the scientific community. Meetings are broadcast live from universities, research institutes and technology transfer centers across the country. The initiative is intended to promote entrepreneurship in the scientific community; there is also an incentive for researchers to attempt to commercialize their ideas. Open meeting formula favors asking questions and sharing experience.
An invited guest to the meeting in Szczecin will be Marcin Prys, a former owner of ‘Mindflow SJ’, the current president of ‘Inspeo Ltd’ which recently has received funding from the seed capital to implement its product. Mr. Marcin will tell you how to use the different types of support offered by business related institutions in Szczecin, which eventually led him to raise capital for the opening of a limited liability company in partnership with a local investor.
