On 22-23 April in Krakow Agricultural University the 8th Conference of the Geodetic Student Scientific Societies was held.
The event was attended by nine geodetic surveying and cartography associations from all over the country, including the Scientific Association of Geodesy and Cartography METIRI from the Maritime University of Szczecin.
Third year students of Geodesy and Cartography of our university came up with two papers:
- ‘Underwater surveying networks - methods of underwater positioning’ by Ewelina Jankowska
- ‘Comparative measurement of deformation of the Old Town Hall in Szczecin’ by Adrian Gersztof and Mateusz Wierzbicki
Particular interest has won the second of the papers, which enjoyed the jury’s appreciation, and brought the awards to the authors.
Tutors of the paper are the employees of the Department of Geoinformatics, S. Nowaczyk, PhD and Prof. J. Niebylski.
The students are the members of the Scientific Society of Geodesy and Cartography “Metiri”.
Within two days of the conference there were presented 34 papers in all fields of geodesy, ranging from programming to the needs of chamber works, ending with 3D modeling and remote sensing.
