23 SEPTEMBER 2013 On the Adaptive Day organized for the students of the first year, they are to know the faculty government, the history, achievements and prospects after graduating from the Maritime University of Szczecin.

During the meeting, they will also be familiarized with Student Self Government activities as well as the opportunities to participate in various forms of scientific, cultural, sporting and social activities. An important element illustrating the functioning of the University shall be the presentation of rules: Rules of studies at the Maritime University and the Rules of the Student’s House.

Students of the Faculty of Navigation

The field of navigation: 10.30-12.00 Room 5 and 6 at ul. Szczerbcowa 4

The fields of: transport, geodesy and cartography, IT, 9.00 - 10.30; Room 4 at ul. Szczerbcowa 4

Students of the Faculty of Marine Engineering

All fields: 9.00 - 10.30; Prof. Łaski Hall (4 floor) ul. Wały Chrobrego 1-2

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering

All fields: 9.00 - 10.30; Room 7 at ul. Szczerbcowa 4

PROGRAM:

  1. Meeting with the faculty authorities: Dean, vice-deans, management and Dean’s office employees and caretakers of each group. Presentation of the history, organization and achievements of the University, Dean’s office tasks and Maritime University Study Regulations -Vice Dean for Students’ Affairs or another appointed person responsible for conducting the meeting;
  2. Organizational matters concerning the students’ activity: Familiarization with the Rules of Student House and the range of Student Self Government activities, plans and its place and role in the life of the University. Organizational matters: research clubs, AZS (student sports club), the student pub ‘Pod Masztami’ and the Maritime University choir - representative of the Student Self Government responsible for conducting the meeting.

It is required that on the adaptive day students are dressed in full uniform in accordance with the instructions on the conduct, external image , wearing uniforms and items of clothing for students of the Maritime University.
