The Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering of the Maritime University of Szczecin has been recruiting students for 3.5 - year regular and extramural studies - logistics, course of company logistics. The demand for logisticians is constantly growing! If you fancy challenges and want to get qualifications, most required by the international transport system, or work in most promising branches – the guarantee of promotion and career development- take logistics at the Maritime University of Szczecin!

A logistician:

  • shapes the policy of orders, purchase, and transport of modern companies
  • manages contacts with foreign suppliers and receivers
  • possesses the knowledge of advanced management systems

A student of logistics at the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering acquires the knowledge of operating modern logistic systems and the basics of sciences of economy, organization and management together with managerial skills. A graduate is expected to be capable of solving logistical problems by engineer methods and technologies – designing logistical systems and processes, managing specialist logistic functions and making use of IT systems of logistic management support, managing capital, costs and finances, as well as, recruiting staff and their training. Completing the course of logistics opens the door to a career in production, logistic, designing and consulting companies dealing with logistics as well as economic and administrative units where the logistic, technical, economic, IT and organizational knowledge is required. Moreover, a graduate has a good command of a foreign language (B2 level according to the European System of Language Teaching Procedures of the European Council) and knows the specialist language of the course of study, that is, logistical and transport terminology, being prepared to take the 2nd degree study.

A graduate’s professional competence shall cover the ability of comprehending current economic processes and the specificity of operating a modern company including manufacturing ones as well as TSL/TFL branch (transport-forwarding-logistics), transport economic law and policy, basics of designing and operating technological processes, transport systems, packaging economy, transport load units, transport and industrial telematics, basics of transport infrastructure including integrated transport and transport systems, environmental protection in reference to manufacturing and transport companies and the problems of European integration.

He/she shall also be well prepared for making decisions concerning human resources, finances, and company data, being capable of diagnosing, solving problems and monitoring economic processes, including transportation ones, as well as, skilful designing of production and transport processes, making strategic and operational decisions referring to running a company and its development in competitive conditions and the diversity of internal and external environment.

A graduate of logistics will be able to co commence a career in various size both home and foreign companies, mainly in the field of TSL/TFL, successfully applying for a post of:

  • a company logistics specialist,
  • TSL/TFL operator,
  • operator and consultant dealing with logistics, transport and forwarding,
  • expert of logistics in economic and administrative unit.
