IMO's Sub-committee on Safety of Navigation, Communication, Search and Rescue held its second session in London between 9.03 - 13.03.2015.

Zbigniew Pietrzykowski, PhD, an associate professor at the Maritime University of Szczecin attended the session as a delegate from Poland and a representative of the Faculty of Navigation.
The session was focused on, inter alia, search and rescue at sea, navigation routes, e-navigation and communication systems.
The delegates participated in plenary debates as well as in meetings of work and editing groups appointed during the session:
- navigation safety group
- communication group
- Search And Rescue group (SAR)
- Long Range Identification and Tracking group (LRIT).
