Trends and Visions for Offshore Wind Energy

MEWy Competition 2023 3rd edition_ENG
The third edition of the MEWy Competition lasted until 19th February 2023. Attractive prizes await winning participants.

The Maritime University of Szczecin and the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Region invite you to participate in the second edition of the visionary competition: "Trends and visions for the development of offshore wind farms". This is an international competition, it aims to stimulate the imagination based on knowledge and ingenuity, and as a result to present even the most futuristic solutions in the use of technology and obtaining energy from offshore wind farms.

The competition is open to secondary school students, under- and postgraduate students and doctoral students

How should the competition task be understood? Participants must clearly present their views on the broadly understood vision of the development of offshore wind energy. You can look at the problem freely: from the point of view of logistics, construction, design of wind farms, through their operation to IT issues, ecological, mechanical problems, automation, diagnostics or even broadly understood marine biology.

What are the opportunities and what are threats of using offshore wind farms for electric power generation? Perhaps you have groundbreaking thoughts on how to overcome the bad and take advantage of the good sides of generating power from wind. If you have any thoughts on these topics - this competition is just for you!
