Due to the prolonged epidemiological threat posed by the new coronavirus, and bearing in mind the official recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Chief Sanitary Inspector, please read the recommendations to be observed in public space.

Covering one’s mouth and nose shall be mandatory from 16 April - the obligation to cover mouth and nose has been introduced. Everyone in a public place will have to wear a mask, scarf or handkerchief that covers both the mouth and nose. The obligation applies to all persons who are in a public space, outside their place of residence: in the streets, in offices, shops or places where services are provided as well as at workplaces.

The existing safety rules have also been extended.

Until Sunday, 19 April 2020, the following measures are still in force:
  • restrictions on movement;
  • persons under 18 years of age are forbidden to go outside without adult supervision;
  • restrictions on religious events - a maximum of 5 people can be present in a church;
  • restrictions on the operation of shopping centres and large-format DIY & construction stores;
  • rules for using public transport and cars larger than 9 seats;
  • suspension of hairdressers, beauty studios, tattoo studios, etc. .;
  • entrance forbidden to parks, forests, beaches, boulevards, promenades
  • city bikes are not to be used;
  • restaurant remain closed;
  • restrictions as to the number of people in shops, at markets and at post offices;
  • restrictions of cultural activities (cinemas, theatres, etc.).

Until Sunday, 26 April 2020, the following is still in force:
  • closing of schools and universities (please note that teaching activities at MUS have  been suspended by MUS Rector until April 30th);
  • kindergartens and nurseries remain closed;
  • closure of passenger air traffic;
  • closing of international rail traffic.

Until Sunday, 3 May 2020, the following is still in force:
  • closing of borders (the right to cross the Polish border is still possible for, among others, Polish citizens, foreigners who are spouses or children of Polish citizens, persons who have the right of permanent or temporary residence in Poland or a work permit);
  • mandatory quarantine for persons crossing the border with Poland.
Until further notice:
  • restrictions on the organization of mass events and gatherings.
