The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of another building of our University took place on October 12th at the Willowa St. campus.
The authorities of the Maritime University of Szczecin together with invited guests, in accordance with tradition, performed the ceremonial laying of the foundation act of the newly constructed building Faculty of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering.
The host, as well as the person conducting the event, was our new Vice Dean for Education - Ewelina Kostecka, PhD, Eng.
The building under construction at the teaching complex on Willowa Street is to be the glue of the cooperating Faculty of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering and Faculty Mechanical Engineering. Laboratories relocated from the MUS main building on Wały Chrobrego St. will be refreshed and modernized, giving space for a new quality of education. Completely new and innovative teaching rooms are also planned, including, among others, a medium voltage laboratory, machinery and drives, power electronic control of main drives, and data processing and processing from a recently commissioned wind turbine.
The project is estimated to be completed in early 2025.
