The ATMS CNC 60x90 milling machine is the latest equipment of the FMEE. It was purchased in order to extend and improve the didactic process carried out by WMiE students, as well as to enrich the Faculty laboratory. These days, familiarity with the construction details, operation and programming of CNC machine tools is a standard that the FMEE students should follow.

Extensive processing possibilities

The purchased milling machine with workspace dimensions of 600x900x80 works very well both for making smaller and large-size pieces. A wide range of materials can be processed inc. metals - such as aluminium, brass, bronze, copper but also plastics, wood and foam.

An important feature of the device is the cast iron bed casting which,  increases the rigidity of the entire structure, and ensures precise machining of the material, eliminating vibrations and deformations. The powerful, water-cooled and quiet 3 kW spindle ensures work comfort and versatility of use. Additionally, the milling machine is equipped with an automatic tool changing (ATC) system, which significantly increases the speed and efficiency of the process.
The milling machine supports  .nc and g-code.
