The celebration included a meeting of the MUS Senate, the opening of the new laboratory and a special gala with the awarding of medals and a concert by the MUS Choir

Ceremonial meeting of the MUS Senate 

The anniversary celebration began on May 10th with the raising of the national flag in front of the main building of the Maritime University of Szczecin.  Afterwards, the participants walked to the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering (FETE) building, where MUS Rector Wojciech Slączka together with the Dean of the Faculty opened the ceremonial meeting of the Senate. Among the guests were Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure Marek Gróbarczyk, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure Grzegorz Witkowski, Director of the Department of Maritime Education at the Ministry of Infrastructure Wojciech Gąsowski, Provincial Governor Zbigniew Bogucki, Member of Parliament Arkadiusz Marchewka, Regional Councilor Wojciech Dorżynkiewicz and others.

The "Sea Wolf" statuettes were also awarded to Andrzej Montwiłł, Eng., PhD., in the category of an Active Person Professionally Engaged with the Maritime Sector, and to Elżbieta Stojanowska in the category of Student of the Maritime University of Szczecin. 

The award for Lecturer of the Year, as voted by PM students, went to Norbert Marchewka, MA.

New modern laboratory opened

The Laboratory for Warehouse Process Automation with VITRONIC equipment was officially opened by Secretary of State Marek Gróbarczyk, MUS Rector Wojciech Slączka, FETE Dean Stanislaw Iwan and VITRONIC Vision Polska CEO Michał Żuchora. Thanks to a modern space fitted with innovative technology, students will be able to learn how to handle cargo sorting equipment in a comfortable and professional environment.

 Artistic touch at the end of the day

The anniversary day was topped off by a gala ceremony, which included a concert by the MUS Choir and the presentation of commemorative medals to the authorities and staff of the University and invited guests as well. The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Region.
