7. Scopus (Elsevier)
The database is available on the MUS network or with remote accessScopus is an Elsevier-produced interdisciplinary database of abstracts and citations from journals in the:
- mathematical and natural sciences,
- engineering,
- medicine and the humanities.
It comprises more than:
- 19,500 publications, including more than 18,500 peer-reviewed journals (including over 1,800 available in Open Access),
- more than 400 commerce-related publications,
- 300 book series,
- 250 conference reports.
The database contains 46 million bibliographic records, including 25 million citation records going back to 1996, 25 million patent records, and indexes 315 million scientific web pages. More than half of the journals in the Scopus database are from outside the US.
